Summary

Chapter 4 opens with Buddy realizing that he has been born again and wondering why. He thought that he had learned his purpose during his years with Ethan. He wonders whether he has more than one purpose. He also realizes that even though his mother is a poodle, he and one of his brothers do not look like the rest. As it turns out, his mother had two sires and one was not a poodle. The new Buddy is a mutt. Buddy, the puppy knows that there is a man, a woman, and a child in the house. The child has been sick, but when he is better he comes to see the puppies. He picks up the other puppy that is not a poodle and becomes sick. It turns out that he has a very bad allergy to all dogs except for poodles...
