Public Speaking

Research a speech given by one of the generals or military leaders discussed in the book and deliver the speech to the class. The speech could be one delivered to soldiers, or it could be a political of topical speech. The speech should pertain in some way to strategy, and if possible, to the use of indirect strategy.

Presentation

Prepare a presentation for a simple strategy game (such as Go or Chess) in which you will explain the rules for the game. Explain how strategy applies to the game. What is the enemy's center, and how can it be dislocated? What are the natural lines of expectation? What are some common direct methods used in the game? How can the indirect method be applied instead?
