Summary

Chapter 23

Alice has to take the children to school. She has a hard time getting them all up and figuring out what time she’s supposed to leave. Her old memories kick in and she at least remembers most of the route to school. On the way there, she asks her children what kind of a mother she is. The children say that she can be strict and she gets angry a lot, especially about Nick. Alice apologies to the children for making them grow up in such a hostile environment. Alice speaks with Kate at the school. She tries to find out more about why she and Nick broke up, but the topic keeps changing before she can learn much.
