Summary

Chapter 19

Alice starts to worry about how she’s going to take care of her children. She calls up her mother and finds out about their favorite foods. She’s surprised how easily she takes to cooking, knowing just what to do and where to go in the kitchen. She goes and checks her emails, again surprised at how her body seems to go through the motions. To her horror, she finds an email chain between her and Nick. In the emails, she is angrily arguing with him about who gets the children for Christmas, even though it’s still many months away. Alice can’t believe that she would act that way towards Nick. Alice finds out from Dominick that one of the reasons she and Nick apparently broke up was because of how busy he was with work, but she’s...
