Chapter 102-106 Summary

Cross says goodbye to Hughes once again, admitting that it is harder each time. He flies into Washington DC and makes his way to his Aunt Tia's house. Though he worries about the Mastermind following him, he spends the evening playing with his kids. He relishes the good time with them.

The next day, Cross returns to Washington DC and meets with the FBI. Cross begins to wonder who might be Craig's next target. Cross begins calling every person he fears Craig may attack. He begins with his ex-wife, Christine. He also calls Hughes and Zach Taylor, his contact at the Washington Post. Cross knows Craig is jealous of the press Cross receives from Taylor. He even calls Kate McTiernan, knowing that she is on Kyle's list, somewhere. Cross makes two lists of possible victims, the first from his point of view and second from Craig's.
