Chapter 70-75 Summary
The news of a missing fifteen-year-old girl breaks the boredom from Cross. Craig becomes very angry when the New Orleans police wait hours before sharing the case with the FBI. Hughes offers to attend the fetish ball with Cross, and Craig okay's it.
At 2 a.m., Cross and Hughes enter the fetish ball. Cross looks around at those in attendance with interest and describes their costumes. As they mingle, The Sire arrives. Daniel and Charles enter in full costume, with the tigers from the show on leashes. Daniel identifies himself as The Sire and invites the guests to the lower level of the home. In front of the crowd of onlookers, Daniel crowns two unnamed young men as vampire princes. This is interrupted, though, when the lights go out. Women scream. When the lights return, they find the two young men murdered. Cross confirms that the two princes are dead....
