Chapter 50-53 Summary

Cross interrogates Snyder, who is familiar with Craig and the FBI. He comments that Cross does not work for the FBI. Snyder claims that he killed his parents to free them. Snyder goes on to claim that he wants to leave home and follow the tiger. The interview ends when he bites Cross on the arm, announcing that now Cross is one of them.

Cross spends a total of four hours questioning Snyder. Snyder issues more warning about the tiger. Officials quickly rule out Snyder for the other murders.

Cross's bites begin to swell and hurt, causing him to return to Washington DC. Upon returning to Washington DC, the Mastermind calls Cross once again. He lets Cross know that he knows Cross has been out of town and has returned home. Frustrated and angry, Cross runs into the street and yells...
