Part 7, Chapter 14 Summary

Marius finishes his story and tells Lestat that he must leave soon. He will not allow Lestat to stay with him until he has lived at least one mortal lifetime. He regrets making Armand a vampire at such a young age and tells Lestat that he cannot teach him what living a lifetime could. Additionally, he makes Lestat promise never to tell anyone about Those Who Must Be Kept or of him. He needs to be sure that no one will ever come to find him or hunt Those Who Must Be Kept. Marius then takes leave of Lestat and allows him the run of the house as long as he does not go into the chapel where Those Who.....
