After listening to Armand's story, Lestat is convinced that Marius is still alive. Gabrielle, on the other hand, believes that the story is a fairy tale. They both see Armand's attempts to manipulate them into staying with him. He is a creature of habit and needs to live with a coven in order to exist. Lestat suggests that he learn the new age they live in and go to the theatre with the other vampires. There he would be able to live among other immortals and he would still be their leader. He ultimately sees that they are.....
