Part 4, Chapter 5 Summary

When Lestat wakes up the next night, he seeks to find Nicki's violin and bring it to him, in hopes that it will shake him from his silence. On his way to Nicki's residence, Lestat passes the theatre and sees some of the vampires from the catacombs. They tell him that the old vampire queen has gone into the fire and Armand burned many of the others. Only they managed to escape. They plead with Lestat to let them stay in the theatre which he allows them to do. Lestat goes on to Nicki's apartment and finds Armand there. Armand is going through Nicki's belongings, trying to understand the modern world they live in. He warns Lestat that his fledglings will come to resent him and he will be on his.....
