Part 2, Chapter 9 Summary

The next night, as Lestat rides into Paris, he is attacked on the road by a cutthroat whom he kills right away. He discovers how much he enjoys the hunt, struggle, and death of the evildoer that he kills. Moving on, Lestat right away finds a lawyer who will handle his finances and personal affairs. Pierre Roget is a young and ambitious lawyer that Lestat sees as trustworthy. The two of them set out right away to purchase lavish furniture and gifts as Lestat commands. The one faux pas he makes is when he catches a rat in the warehouse while selecting furniture. The mortals around him find this alarmingly.....
