Part 2, Chapter 6 Summary
Lestat continues to explore throughout the tower and comes upon another room that is seemingly empty. Except when he goes in with his lighted torch, he sees a heap of dead bodies and the smell repulses him. Upon further examination, he sees that all of the dead bodies, in various states of decay, have blonde hair and blue eyes. This astonishes and frightens him at the same time. He is alerted to the rising sun when his eyes begin to burn. He races to his sarcophagus to sleep in its dark sanctity.
Part 2, Chapter 6 Analysis
Lestat learns quickly that there is something distinct about his personality, as well as his looks, that made him the perfect candidate for immortality.
