Summary

Chapter 4

Four weeks have passed since Kennedy's mother has died. Kennedy lies on the bed in her room instead of boxing up the important things for her move to boarding school. Elle is trying to help her but Kennedy is just too out of it to really say anything. She looks to the ID bracelet that her mother always wore, thinking about how she died due to heart failure. As she’s lying there after finding a picture of her father, Kennedy thinks back to the time her father walked out on their family, and all he left was a letter explaining that he had to leave in order to give them a normal life. He had also told them that he loved them.
