Hereford, England

Hereford is the location of the newly-formed, secret anti-terrorism unit named Rainbow. The local hospital is the site of a terrorist incident in which the Rainbow leader's wife and daughter are held as hostages.

Bern, Switzerland

Bern is the location of the first terrorist incident for which Rainbow is dispatched. The terrorists hold workers and clients hostage at a bank in Bern. Bern is also the location of the ex-KGB agent Popov's European bank account.

Vienna, Austria

Rainbow's second terrorist encounter is in a private residence outside Vienna. The owner of the large estate is Erwin Ostermann who works out of his home. Terrorists take Ostermann and his staff members hostage.

Madrid, Spain

The next hostage situation is at a large amusement park called World Park, which is located in Madrid. The terrorists take dozens of children hostage while demanding the release of political prisoners being held in French prisons.
