Summary

In Chapter 5, Moon avoids the others. She has a recurring nightmare about a mountain collapsing and now realizes it is Jade Mountain. She hopes it is not real and is not the future. While she is trying to wake up, a huge dragon pulls her out of the nightmare. (This is the dragon who has been speaking in her dreams and is later identified as Darkstalker.) He says someone should have taught her to control her power. Darkstalker says the powers are a gift and that she “can do amazing things” (71), especially if she is trained, and that other dragons will want to be her friend once they need her power. He asks if she would give up her power and she admits that she would not. Darkstalker is amazed she cannot guess his identity. When she tells him the year, he roars...
