Cross returns home to the news that President Byrnes has died. A few days pass before Cross feels up to facing any more work. Finally Cross goes with Sampson to the apartment belonging to Jill, aka Sara Rosen. Cross and Sampson spend the whole day in the apartment and find nothing. Cross returns the next day and continues to search on his own. Cross finds a video tape that has unedited footage of Senator Fitzgerald's murder. On this tape Cross finds a clear image of Jack. Cross and Jay Grayer arrest Jack as he leaves the school his children attend. After this arrest, Cross and Jay Grayer go to the home of Jeanne Sterling. Jay and Cross tell Sterling what they know, how she and her husband, Brett, planned the assassination and how Brett acted out the plan as Jack. ...
