Chapter 80, Jon Summary

Jon Snow is practicing with another member of the Watch. He remembers fighting with Robb when they were younger, and Robb saying Jon could not be Lord of Winterfell because he was a bastard. Jon cannot decide whether to accept Stannis's offer. He hears members of the Watch trying to convince others to vote for Ser Janos Flynt. They cite a letter from Tywin Lannister supporting Janos as head of the Watch. Jon goes beyond the Wall. Ghost, his direwolf, comes out of the woods, and Jon realizes he cannot become Lord of Winterfell.

Jon walks into the hall, where the election is being held for the new Lord Commander. Men are shouting and arguing, and Aemon tells Jon that he has been recommended for the position. Janos is still saying Jon is a traitor, but Ser Denys and Cotter say...
