Chapter 73, Jaime Summary

Jaime is watching King Tommen Baratheon, Joffrey's successor, sign papers given to him by Ser Kevan. They are documents that dole out the conquered lands, such as Riverrun, decrees of promotion, and royal pardons, some for the Westerlings, including Jeyne, Robb Stark's widow. Jaime has lost a sparring match and is upset he cannot fight without his good hand. Jaime leaves and sees men outside preparing to take a girl claiming to be Arya Stark to Lord Roose Bolton. Jaime believes she is not the real Arya. Jaime recalls that Ser Gregor's wounds are poisoned, and Pycelle is trying to heal him. Tywin wants Gregor healed so he can be executed for killing Elia Martell to placate Prince Doran, Elia's brother. Tywin has heard Stannis has left Dragonstone and Tywin is afraid Stannis will make an alliance with Doran.
