Chapter 65, Jon and Chapter 66, Arya Summary

Jon Snow is sleeping when hears horns signaling the wilding army is approaching. He goes to the Wall with the rest of the defenders. They launch fiery pitch at the attackers so they can see what is coming. They see the mammoths and giants Jon had noted when he was among the wildings. The battle begins. Some wildings have reached the gate, and Jon is left in charge on the top of the Wall while others go to defend the gate.

When dawn breaks, Jon sees the wildings have a battering ram. When they get close, he orders the archers to fire on the ram bearers. They all go down and the ram falls. Jon goes down to inspect the gate, and finds the giants have broken through the outer gate and killed all the...
