Chapter 58, Daenerys Summary

Daenerys has now come upon the city of Meereen, which is enclosed by a large wall. Daenerys's army is now huge, and they need to claim the city in order to survive. Meereen sends out a champion who wants to challenge one of Daenerys's soldiers in single combat. The rulers of Meereen have placed dead slave children at intervals from the city with hands pointing to the city. She orders Belwas to fight the champion, and Belwas wins. They are still not let into the city. They hold a council to discuss what to do. Brown Ben, new leader of the Second Sons, tells her there is a way to get in through the sewers.
