Chapter 37, Davos Summary

Ser Axell Florent comes to claim Davos Seaworth from his cell to meet with Stannis Baratheon. On the way, Ser Axell says he thinks Davos is still a traitor and that he has seen in the flames that Stannis claims the Iron Throne. He also wants Davos to tell Stannis that Axell should be the Hand. He tries to bribe Davos with a ship for doing this. If he does not, Axell says he will kill Davos.

When Davos meets with Stannis, Stannis asks him what the punishment for treason is, and Davos says death. Davos realizes Stannis is talking about Lord Alester, and tries to defend him.
