Chapter 36, Catelyn Summary

Catelyn Stark's father, Lord Holster, has died. Those at Riverrun are preparing for his funeral. His body is placed in a boat with his shield, helmet, and horn. Two members of the Frey family are present at the funeral. They have come to try and schedule a meeting with Robb Stark and Lord Walder Frey to mend the alliance. Lord Edmure Tully tries to shoot a burning arrow to light the boat, but misses three times. Ser Brynden Tully lights it instead.

Catelyn and Robb meet with those who are giving condolences. Robb learns some of his men attacked at Duskendale without his permission, and lost a good amount of his army. Robb tells Catelyn that her daughter, Sansa, is now married to Tyrion Lannister. Catelyn says they should now make peace with the Lannisters, but Robb will not. Catelyn leaves...
