Chapter 20, Tyrion Summary

Tyrion is present at the council meeting, where Tywin and several other Lords discuss current events. Petyr Baelish will marry Lysa Arryn in order to secure the Vale of Arryn for the Lannisters. Tyrion learns that he will be promoted to master of coin. Lord Balon Greyjoy has declared himself King of the Isles, and wants to make an alliance with the Lannisters. Tywin does not want to make a decision on this yet. The council also allocates the awards from the battles.

When the council is over, Tyrion, Cersei, Kevin, and Tywin talk. Tyrion says he does not trust Petyr, but Tywin does. Petyr had just informed Tywin of the Tyrell's plan to have Sansa marry Willas. Instead, Tywin wants Cersei to marry Willas and Tyrion to marry Sansa, so the Lannister and Stark families are joined. He says it...
