Summary

Chapter 19 opens with Buddy/Molly pushing to be reborn again. This time is different than the other rebirth because Clarity still needs help. Buddy/Molly returns as a small dog named Max. A woman named Gail takes care of them. When Max realizes that he is now a little dog he decides to make sure that people and other dogs know that he was not a dog one can push around as he needs to help CJ. When people come to adopt the dogs, he is not friendly because he is waiting for CJ. His sisters get adopted, but Max is about to be put to sleep as he snaps at people and there is not enough space in the shelter when, one day, he sees CJ with a huge dog.
