Chapters Eleven-Twelve Summary

Chapter Eleven. Smith leads the others back to the garage, where they find Heidi waiting for them. The five of them board the yellow post bus with the snowplow on the front where Smith and Schaffer had stored some of their equipment earlier. Smith gets behind the wheel as Schaffer smashes out the front windshield with the butt of his machine gun. He then kneels beside Smith with the gun ready to shoot. Revving the engine, Smith floors it and crashes through the main double doors of the garage, careening out into the crowded main street of the village. Pedestrians - most of whom are looking up at where Schloss Adler is burning - scatter as the post bus picks up speed and then crashes into a military command car, pushing it to the side easily. Smith quickly reaches the end...
