Chapter Nineteen Summary

Venetia has finally come up with the plan to ruin her reputation and get Damerel back. The morning after she finds out about her mother, Venetia sets out in search of the hotel she thought her mother and stepfather might be staying at. She is dressed in the latest fashion. This, coupled with the fact that she is very pretty ensures that every head turns to her as she passes. She finds out about the local hotels, and her research pays off when she is led to Lady Steeple and Sir Lambert's room.

Sir Lambert, though nice, was perhaps a little too nice and flirty. He makes it no secret that he finds her attractive. They talk while waiting for word to send Venetia in to see Lady Steeple.
