Summary

In Chapter 23, Simi was frightened Angelini knew about the heist when he sent her a message telling her that he wanted to see her at the house. Jack drove Simi to the Angelini mansion and insisted on going inside with her. Simi told him she had to go alone. She admitted she liked knowing he was willing to go with her.

Angelini surprised Simi by telling her that he appreciated her discretion at the bridal shop and sliding an envelope toward her. Simi admitted to Angelini she had feared Mario was going to hurt Bella. Angelini informed Simi he was not concerned with what happened between Bella and Mario. When Simi opened the envelope, she saw a wad of money and realized she was being paid to be quiet about what she had seen.
