Summary

In Chapter 11, Chloe and her daughter, Olivia, went to Bloomingdale’s with Simi. Chloe imagined a scene like the one in the movie Pretty Woman, where the clerks would turn Simi away because she did not look like someone who could afford their clothes. When Simi met Clare, she thought the gorgeous woman must be Jack’s girlfriend.

In Chapter 12, Simi was taken to the charity ball in a chauffeured limousine. Clare had not only helped her pick out a dress, she had also coordinated the outfit with shoes, a purse, and had Simi’s hair done. When Jack helped Simi out of the car, he told her that she looked lovely.
