Summary

In Chapter Three, Immanuelle tried but failed to sell the ram. She hurried back home, but a thunderstorm started and frightened the ram, who charged her and ran into the Darkwood. Immanuelle decided to ignore Martha’s warnings and ventured into the forest to find the ram. However, she soon found herself lost. She happened across a clearing where she saw two strange women in the dirt making love.

In Chapter Four, the women saw Immanuelle and approached her. They looked deranged and possibly even dead. One of them gave Immanuelle a book and said it belonged to her. She heard a scream and ran through the woods looking for Judas. She found his head, severed from his body. She ran all the way home and told Martha what had happened, leaving out the part about the book. Martha used a poker...
