Chapter 14 Summary

Milo views a lineup, but refuses to point out the surviving man who attacked him because he wants to deal with it on his own. Jamison asks Milo to meet him at Milo's second office. When they meet a short time later, they begin comparing notes on both Simon's murder and the recent rash of crime in Meriwether. Milo tells Jamison what Reese said about the heroin Raymond was dealing. Jamison confirms that Simon's notebook was not on his body when he was found. Jamison tells Milo that he wants the man responsible for the drugs on Meriwether's streets to be found and dealt with. Jamison wants Milo to kill the man. Milo agrees.
