Summary

In Chapter 19, Jude goes over the situation and tries to figure out ways to keep Oak safe. Cardan says Nicasia revealed that Orlagh will strike during Taryn's wedding. Jude takes the information to Madoc and they bicker about how to provide protection. Jude is angry that Madoc does not hide his distrust, but they come to terms and begin working together. Jude sends a note to Lady Asha with Vulciber delivering it just as Balekin is being taken to meet with Cardan. The note says that Oak is being transferred back to the mortal world by boat because he got sick flying and offers Lady Asha a spot in that boat. Jude believes Balekin will demand to know the contents of the note when he returns to the tower.
