Summary

At the rehearsal dinner, Lila becomes concerned that they will miss the start of the fireworks because the food service is taking too long. She cancels the best man and maid of honor speeches, upsetting Jim who worked hard on his speech for Gary. Jim gives his speech anyway, revealing that he had been intending to ask out Lila the day she met Gary but missed his chance. Lila becomes angry when she realizes the restaurant made the decision not to serve the palette cleansers they had ordered, in an attempt to get things back on schedule in time for the fireworks. Jim confronts Lila about complaining so much and expecting Gary to fix minor issues for her all the time that she should just be able to get over.
