Book 2, Part 5, Chapters 25 - 29 Summary

In Chapter 25, Gasher and Jake enter a lower tunnel with fresh air and lights. Once they arrive at a locked door, Gasher shows Jake a slip of paper and Jake reads the password so they can be admitted to the locked room. In Chapter 26, Roland and Oy follow Jake and Gasher into the lighted tunnel. In Chapter 27, Eddie and Susannah enter Blaine's cradle and discover an intercom box. Eddie uses this box to try to wake Blaine and communicate with him. At first, it is only Little Blaine who talks to Eddie. Little Blaine begs Eddie to leave Blaine asleep. They realize it is Big Blaine who is the one operating the machines. Blaine wakes and asks for introductions. In Chapter 28, Jake meets the Tick-Tock Man.
