Summary

In Chapter 21, Whistledown states she has heard that Anthony and Kate were forced to marry, but she wants to think it was a love match.

The next morning, Kate received a note from Eloise, Anthony’s sister, telling her that Anthony was there. Kate found Anthony asleep in his study. She woke him and asked him why he had not come home. He indicated it was complicated. Because she would not be quiet, he ordered her to stop asking questions and go away because he needed time to think.

The next morning, Anthony was drunk, and then hungover that afternoon. Benedict and Colin tormented Anthony for a while before Benedict finally suggested to Anthony that he go home. Colin agreed that Anthony should go home and tell Kate he loved her. Suddenly Anthony realized it was that simple.
