Summary

In Chapter 10, Whistledown warns that hasty engagements often happen because of house parties.

Even though Anthony cheated during the game, Kate still bested him by hitting Anthony’s ball with hers, sending Anthony’s into the lake. Anthony scowled even as his siblings celebrated Kate’s move. They declared Kate the winner and Anthony the loser. As the players gathered the equipment, Edwina asked them if they were not going to get the ball that rolled into the lake. When no one answered, she said she would get it herself. At this, Anthony and Colin sprang into action.
