Chapter 9-12 Summary

As chapter nine begins Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson are looking around the ship when they realize that other campers are there helping Luke. They are quickly discovered. Luke immediately admits to poisoning Thalia's tree. Luke accuses Annabeth of dishonoring Thalia by traveling with a cyclops and teases Percy because Poseidon claimed Tyson as his son. Percy tells Luke that his father send him but Luke becomes angry and says that Hermes abandoned him and Luke is going to destroy Olympus. Luke tells Percy and Annabeth that he wants them to join their cause but they both refuse. Luke sends them down to be fed to a monster. While in route Tyson is able to over power the guard taking them and they jump over board into the ocean.
