Supernatural

The premise of this novel is that some sort of entity has come to live inside the mind and body of an autistic boy. This entity uses untapped paranormal powers inside the child's mind to control those around him. This entity grows stronger as time passes, stealing energy from those around him until finally he is strong enough to not only control those closest to the boy, but create a whole world in which he is able to trap the residents of Poplar Street and terrorize them for more than an hour.

The reader of this book must be able to accept several basic ideas about the supernatural world. First, the reader must be able to believe that an autistic boy is a highly intelligent child trapped within a mind that is malfunctioning and that this same boy has the power to speak telepathically to those around him...
