Moshe Ludlow

Moshe Ludlow is a long-term resident of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, who is the owner of the All-American Dance Hall and Theater. Moshe is a Jewish man, an immigrant who fled from Europe alongside his cousin Isaac in order to escape persecution, and he causes something of a stir within Pottstown's Jewish community when he and his wife, Chona, decide to stay in the Chicken Hill neighborhood rather than moving away with the other Jewish people in town. Though Moshe has charitable instincts, he often finds himself in modest conflict with his wife because of her desire to continue operating the Heaven & Earth Grocery Store not as a for-profit business but as a kind of public service to the Chicken Hill community.
