Summary

Following his “assault” on Doc Roberts, Dodo finds himself detained at Pennhurst State School and Hospital. Because he is unable to communicate due to his disability, he is quickly misdiagnosed as low-functioning and assigned to interment at a mental ward. When Dodo arrives there, he is placed in a room next to a boy his age whom he refers to as Monkey Pants. Monkey Pants suffers from cerebral palsy and Dodo initially struggles to understand him. Eventually, though, Dodo befriends Monkey Pants.

In the aftermath of Chona’s seizure, she is placed in the hospital with a coma. Moshe accidentally double-books two acts at his theater, Lionel Hampton and Mario Bauzá. When Moshe finally pulls Mario aside and admits that he made a mistake because his wife is ill, Mario kindly forgives him and agrees to serve as opener to Lionel. Mario...
