Kingfisher Lodge

Kingfisher Lodge is the primary setting for the novel. It is owned and operated by a wealthy biomedical pioneer named Nicholas Den. Ken Jensen responsible for managing the business. The lodge is located just outside of a small Colorado town called Crested Butte.

Jack takes a job as a fishing guide at the lodge in order to escape his grief and loss. Over the course of his time here, however, Jack finds the environment increasingly threatening. With the help of his new friend, lover, and client, Alison K, Jack begins investigating Den's nefarious activities on and around the property.
