The Dead Zone

The Dead Zone is the place in the mind where things from memory go and cannot be retrieved. It is also the place where vital pieces information hides, information that makes it harder for Johnny to focus on the task at hand.

When Johnny comes out of the coma, he is subjected to a great deal of neurological and psychological testing. Although the doctors are unable to tell what has been damaged or how much damage has been done, it is obvious that there are problems with memory and recognition when it comes to certain items. In the initial testing, Johnny is unable to imagine certain simple items in his mind. While this is disturbing, particularly since it is unknown if the condition is permanent, there is nothing that can be done to rectify it.
