Part 1: Chapters 15-16 Summary

Johnny is upset by the visit from the reporter. In a moment of weakness, Johnny calls Sarah and arranges to meet with her the next day. Sarah comes to the Smith house, her little boy in tow. Johnny and Sarah have a nice long chat while the baby plays in the yard. Eventually, Sarah says that she still loves Johnny and it was because of him that Sarah was able to fall in love with a good man like Walt. Although it could only be one time, both feel that it is right to take back that night they had planned to spend together. While the baby sleeps, Johnny and Sarah make love for the first and last time.
