Chapter 3 Summary

Borlu sees the posters of the Detail Fulana all over the city, even in his own neighborhood, which is far from the crime scene. While Borlu is walking to his office, Yaszek calls to say they found the van the teen girl saw speed away from where the body was.

Borlu arrives at the scene in a cab. Yaszek shows him the VW van, which is off-white. She shows him there are traces of blood in the back that they have sent to the lab for testing. The van is also full of trash and junk. By the next morning, they have the name of the van owner and confirmation that the blood in the back of the van belongs to the victim.
