The Ouija board

The Ouija board is a symbol of the grief and longing for connection with Alec that the group feels, and the consequences of their actions when they were in college and how they affect the present. When they take out the Ouija board to try to communicate with Alec, the board first spells out "SGO" which was a contraction of "Let's go" that Alec would often say, but then it spells out Mia's name. Mia is Marielle's daughter who she long suspected could have been Alec's; it turns out she is likely Craig's, but the fact that this comes up is proof that what you do in your past can come back to affect your present and future.
