Jordan

Jordan is the main character of the novel. He is around 50 years old and is married to Jordy, whose full name is also Jordan; they met in college. Jordan unfortunately has metastatic cancer and is terminally ill. At the start of the novel, he has brought his five friends together again to hold a funeral for him while he is still alive. As we learn later on, it turns out that it was at Jordy's insistence that Jordan is here holding the funeral at all, and later on, Jordan passes his funeral on to Jordy with the intention of bonding the friends together after his death because the pact will have gone unfulfilled, as he died before he could trigger it for himself.
