Summary

They stay for another week in Chapter 103 and visit more of Taiwan. Leigh learns more about food from Waipo in the markets. She loves spending time with Waipo, even though she cannot always understand her. And whenever she seems to talk about Leigh’s mother, she is there to support her father as she knows grief needs time to pass. Leigh draws as much as she can remember. Her father also promises to enroll her in a Mandarin class, but only if she goes back to therapy. She agrees if he promises to find a therapist, which he also agrees to. She thinks of the first goodbye message Axel sent and says they cannot stop being friends as Axel is the only one who gets her.

They return to the states in Chapter 104 and Leigh imagines all the things her mother would be...
