Chapter Six Summary

In Chapter Six, Eddie, Lissa and Rose arrive in Fairbanks, Alaska, heartened by the fact that although they must face the almost non-stop glare of the summer sunshine, it also means the likelihood of Strigoi attacks is minimal owing to their preference to exist by nightfall. They have a hard time renting a car because they're all only 18 years of age. Eventually they secure a cash rented vehicle with a large deposit and arrive at Tarasov prison. They stake it out, using high-powered binoculars to survey their task at hand.

In order to keep the Moroi as prisoners, they must be held in a perpetually light environment so that their powers are weakened. They are also supplied with so-called Feeders, or humans that agree to be slowly drained of blood in exchange to have opium-like endorphins flood their brains each time...
