Summary

Page 229 begins Part III “The Front-Runner” and page 231 includes a list of “American Presidents and Vice Presidents Elected 1988-2012” (231). This list includes George H Bush in 1988; 1992 Bush again; 1996 Jerry Brown; 2000 and 2004 John McCain; and in 2008 and 2012 Barack Obama. Page 233 begins Chapter 5 2015, “Iowa April 26, 2015 5:23 P.M.” (233). The chapter begins with Hillary noticing a woman with a sign about having cancer at her rally in Cedar Rapids. The event was two weeks after she had announced for the third time she was running for president.


As she leaves the stage with her chief of staff Theresa, she shakes hands with people. The woman holding the cancer sign blurts out she loves Hillary, and tells her if a Republican is elected she is “screwed because all they want to do is take away Obamacare” (236). Hillary tells Theresa to bring her backstage.
