Summary

Chapter 4 is titled “Much Abides.” Alec is worried about his father's reaction if he hears the rumors about Magnus's involvement in the cult. He is also worried about what the Clave will do. Magnus asks for some time alone to try to piece together what memories might be missing. He enters the apartment and finds that Magnus has “summoned” entire bookcases from his apartment in Brooklyn and has had several snacks. Items swirl around in midair. Magnus explains that every memory is connected to others. He is currently trying to find any of his memories that dead end.
