Summary

In Chapter 50, narrated by Erin, Erin and Liz discuss the identity of Eva’s murderer and conclude Miranda might have been the one responsible for the murder when Liz suggests that perhaps Miranda had not gone down in the lift with Ani. Liz’s heart thumps as she agrees with Erin. Liz suggests Miranda was pretending to be a worse skier than she actually was. She notes it would be easy to do. Erin is so upset that she might have sent Danny off with a killer, Miranda, that she is unable to eat.

In Chapter 51, narrated by Liz, Liz does not understand the sudden change that has come over Erin. Liz takes the bowls to the kitchen to rinse them, but no water comes out. She reports to Erin that the pipes are frozen. Liz suggests they sleep downstairs because it has...
